Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her work. She has been a vocal advocate for animal rights. She has been acclaimed for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). New York was her home and she grew up in an environment that was artistic. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant and then moved on to acting and modeling. She won the Golden Globe Award in 1990 as an aspiring young actress. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story was an international success, earning her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. In just three films, MacGraw was named the top female debut at the box office in the world. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name as well as foot prints, hand prints, and footprints in 1972. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, was released. MacGraw has been married three occasions.
