Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author also a model, actor and author. The actress has won praise by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). Her family was an artist family in New York and wanted to explore a career in the artistic fields. Her first job was as a photo assistant. She then moved on to acting and modeling. The award she received was her Golden Globe Award, for the most promising debutant. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world notoriety, along with an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. After just three short films MacGraw was named as the top female performer in box office history. Handprints, signatures and footprints were immortalized in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Her other credits are The Getaway Convoy Players, TV miniseries The Winds of War and other. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw has been married 3 times.
