Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer as well as an animal rights activist. The actress has won praise by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). Growing up in a family of artists located in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. She started as a photographic assistant before moving on to modeling and acting. The first two films she made were noticed and she received the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw was a worldwide star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. MacGraw was deemed the top box office star in the world in just three films. In 1972, her foot-prints as well as autograph was engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other credits include The Getaway Convoy Players, the miniseries on TV The Winds of War and others. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw was married three times.
