Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and author who won several awards. Her work has received acclaim by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). Born and raised in an artistic family in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. Her first position was an assistant to photographers. She then moved on to acting and modeling. She was noticed in two of her films and received Golden Globe Award for Most promising newcomer. MacGraw became a global star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. After only three movies, MacGraw was declared the most successful female film in the history of box offices. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name as well as foot prints, hand prints, and footprints in 1972. In addition to The Getaway Convoy Players she played a part in the tv miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
