Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author, model and actor. Her movies are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). In New York, she was born and raised into an artistic family. Beginning, she worked as a photographer's assistant. Then, her career shifted to modeling and directing. MacGraw was noticed in her first two movies and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story was an international success, earning her the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. In just three films, MacGraw was declared one of the most successful women film in the history of box offices. Handprints, signatures and footprints were engraved in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other films she has appeared in are The Getaway Convoy Players as well as the TV miniseries The Winds of War. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw was divorced three times.
