Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada. She is American. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. DiFranco classifies her music as folk-rock and alternative. But it contains influences such as punk, hip-hop and jazz. Ani DiFranco was among the first artist to establish her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icons. DiFranco was born on September 23, 1970 in New York City, York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who came across Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother hails from Montreal and her father is of Italian heritage. Ani Difrasco composed and recorded the song "32 Flavors". This song appeared on her fifth studio album Not a Pretty Girl which was released in 1995. The song was featured in the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apologized in 2013 when it became known that she was scheduled to hold an event for three days at an Louisiana ex-slave plantation. The workshop was cancelled, however many (including this piece) didn't detect remorse. DiFranco issued another apology several days later. Her name is associated with her Little Folksinger style, but she's collaborated with many music genres, that range from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. The singer lives in New Orleans. Ani diFranco and Kristen Ford are together. In just 14 months, DiFranco was already writing her own songs. They continued to be performed in bar and cafes in her teens. DiFranco completed her studies at the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts high school at 16, and enrolled in the classes of Buffalo State College. Ani's baritone is a customized Alvarez guitar that was made through a series of consultations with Chrys the Alvarez representative of the artist during the time. The guitar is the System 600 guitar with solid wooden tops made of cedar with mahogany back and sides, and Ebony for the fretboard. DiFranco reside in New Orleans, with her family members: spouse and two children. Lefty is their dog pet who is with them when she speaks. DiFranco admits she's ambivalent regarding the notion to look at her work in retrospect, even though it's been three decades. Ani DiFranco was a pop/punk singer and songwriter when she was the age of 25 when her album Not A Pretty Girl hit the charts. Dilate, released in 1996, achieved even greater popularity amongst her fans. The song Brandy (You're a Fine Girl) is a 1972 hit song by American pop rock band Looking Glass from their debut album Looking Glass. Elliot Lurie wrote the song.
